Here come the pictures

Brody's birthday, 8/15/09.

My mom made the squash cake, like my grandma always did for me. The cake was delish. Brody even blew out his candle.

Here is the cake from the front. In my moms defense, I had the blue frosting, but did not buy a writing tip. Here are the results. I guess she should not get a job at a bakery anytime soon. However, it did give my mom, Jennifer and I a pretty good laugh.

I love this picture. Because. The joke of the day was that Brody always has to have a drink in his hand. Just like daddy. I am not sure why Janee and Nathan look dead. This was pretty early on.....

We took him the next day for his first pony ride. He was super excited to see the pony's. Until he got on. He freaked out the whole first lap but after daddy's supportive words of "Be a man!" "Stop being a baby and act like a man!", he did man up.

And, because every birthday is marked by monumental first steps (1st birthday was 1st tooth), this one was speaking.
