Mike is on his way home from work...for the last time for who knows how long. He had his pre-op appt. yesterday. Dr. says he could be off work anywhere from 2 1/2 months to 6 months. Shut the fuck up!
Can I tell you how fucking scary it is to be pregnant, in the middle of adding on to a house, and then having your husband quiting work? I know it needs to be done but I can't tell you that I didn't cry on the way to school last night after Mike called to tell me he would be getting a ride home from work today since he had to turn his truck in.
So the next question is: Do we buy him a truck now? What if his company has no work in months when he goes back to work? That means he wont have a company truck...how does he get to work? How do we buy a truck when neither if us have jobs? I mean, I would love to go into Toyota 6 months preggo and wink at the guy and walk out with a truck, but that isn't likely..and if we dont buy a truck...how do we get material to our house for the addition?
Fuck...
Our impression of the surgery was they would be cutting his big toe open, scraping out the arthritis and sewing him back up. Turns out it is a 4 inch incision. They slice his joint completely apart. Scrape out the arthritis, put a pin in the joint, and sew him back up. Apparently there is no permanent fix. In a few years, he will have to go in and have a fake joint installed, which has about a 5 year life. Meaning this will continue for life.
On another note, we finally got our first quote for installing a roof on the new addition: $4900. Fab considering we were estimating about 10,000 for the whole thing....clearly we both should stick with the field aspect of construction and not that office end.. :) and so it begins!

Mother's Day - Time to be appreciated
Friday, our family took my mom out for Mother's Day. We went to Lucilles in Lake Forest. The waiter sucked and they brought me the wrong food, but because it was smothered in nasty gravy, I didn't catch it until I had been pushing the food around my plate while everyone else finished their dinner. So, to late to be bothered to correct the meal...I suppose this was fine since food is all ass anyway.
Saturday, the kids and I planned on ripping the ceiling out of the demo area while Mike digs the underground electrical trench and lays wire. This demo did not go as well as last weekend. Janee turned into something from a horror movie, for no reason. She was rude, she was loud, she was obnoxious, she was 4000 volts of pure attitude. Which, then causes me to get pissed, and Jesse ot get pissed, and Mike to get pissed....Once it was finished half assly, and we were all pissed of fat each other, she went to watch TV. Once she got her way, she turned into a "sweetheart". I don't think so. You dont throw attitude when you are helping yourself get a bedroom, and then when you get your way act like a ray of sunshine. She only apologized to me because Mike forced her to, and when her mom came to pick her up for the night, Mike told her to wish me happy mothers day, so she screamed at him "I WAS GOING TO", and then said it half assly to me, and then left.
Sunday, it was Mike, Brody and I. Peace. It actually went smoothly and quietly. I went grocery shopping for my weekly trip and only spent $200.00! usually I push 300. Janee called to apologized sincerely, and wished me happy mothers day and Mike taught me how to use the electric hedger.
As far as pregnancy, I am 9 weeks yesterday, still feeling barfy constantly and gained 7 pounds of bloat this weekend! Amazing! I busted out some maternity pants I bought last week and those things are fabulous. I am upset I need them now since I will be sick of them by Decemeber, but this bloat is kicking my ass. I need to watch it (not sure how) because I have a Dr.s appt in 2 weeks and I refuse to start getting lectures on weight now. Especially since I cant eat!
Mike's last day of work is Wednesday. Thursday he goes in for his surgery to fix his "severe arthritis" in his left big toe. he will be out of work for at least 2 1/2 months. Holy shit! I have been freaking out about this to him for a week now. What am I going to do with him home all the time? Finally last night, he even admitted he was concerned with being home, laid up for a period of time. He turns into quite the pain in the ass when he can't work. So, we will see how it goes!

Drama Always...
Turns out B has an ear infection. Not quite sure how that has anything to do with the coughing...my moms theory is that as his ears drain, it goes down his throat causing him to cough...which makes sense except it is a dry, deep cough. He is on antibiotics and goes back for a recheck in 10 days. They checked his breathing, and his air intake and everything seemed fine.
Speeking of Dr's....we found out yesterday that Mike has severe arthritis in his big toe. It can be fixed and should be soon, otherwise the Dr. gives him 5 years before he can't move his toe at all. Unfortunatley, this would put him out of work for 2 1/2 months. Scary. So, todays project is find out what insurance pays for this....I am sure that will be fun and they will provide me with 100% accurate information right away.
I hope you sense the sarcasm....
I am still feeling like a constant barf factory....which pisses me off more because Mike doesn't understand it and thinks I should be constantly doing work around here. Luckily, since it has been going on for over a month now, I am at the point where I dont care what he has to say about it anymore and am over feeling guilty for having to be lazy. I can't help it.
I was even able to tune him out while he was lecturing me loudly on how ridiculous I am for watching Real housewives of NY during the finale last night. It was awsome! I love this new skill! :)
And while I am on the subject of shows I am ashamed of watching....what is up with Janice Dickenson?

Demo Begins
I love the weekends because my family is home, but I hate the weekends because I can't lay around and be lazy or my family will be on my ass.....
This fatigue is crazy! And the general barfy feeling I have is new....
Yesterday I was moving things out of the tear down area and all of the sudden I HAD to eat. Like now. Like I was going to pass out and die if I didn't eat. I was shakey, and sweaty, and HUNGRY. I got that with B when I would shower...if the water was warm...but now I am going to get it when I try to work? Mike would kick my ass! :)
Anyway, after I shoved down some Healthy Choice Pasta and some yogurt and about 106 grapes...followed by a sunkist soda (not diet)...things were good.
So I directed the kids in a little demolition. It is amazing how lazy those guys are until you hand them a crowbar and a sledgehammer! I will take some pictures later today...I was too exhausted to worry about it by the time we were finished yesterday...
Next weekend we are going to rip down the ceiling and my husband finally said something loving to me regarding the pregnancy...he said "You probably shouldn't help with that, being your pregnant"
Most might say what the fuck ever...but those are sweet words to me! Mike rarely if ever tells me not to work on something...
I am off to call the Dr. to hopefully get B in today. He has what seemed like a cold over the weekend but last night and this morning he has been coughing a crazy cough like he has been smoking packs of cigarettes...not normal. or Possible.
