34 Weeks, 3 Days

I gained 2 pounds since last weeks appointment, 2 weeks ago. Good. 1 pound per week is okay at this point. It could be much worse. In fact, I was expecting much worse.

I brought up to my Dr. about driving to Mo. for Christmas. Her eyes got wide, she checked my chart, and almost laughed at me. She was fine with the idea, if I was, but stressed how it might be a terrible idea being I am having major surgery in the weeks prior. Mike of course thinks she is full of shit. He said to me "She is a doctor, she has never thought about driving anywhere! She flies because she has the money". However, he did sit and talk with my mom and I about how I was last time post hospital and we were all unsure how I would have done sitting down that long.

The baby's heart rate was fine, I was measuring fine, and I got my H1N1 Vaccination.

I was on a wait and see policy with this one. I wasn't about to be thrown into instant chaos listening to the news. I knew my Dr. had some on order, and that no one had any in town. Why panic? So, when I got to my Dr. and the nurse told me that Dr. got 10 doses in the day before, and do I want one, I said yes. Done.

I started to feel like a pile of shit at about 2:30, but I am not sure if it was the shot, or the return of my morning sickness again. I am thinking the shot, because I made some disgusting burritos that the family mowed down giving me thumbs up signs for, but I was so grossed out by them I could hardly watch them eat.

Then to add to the chaos that is our family, we got a tentative schedule for Janee's cahmpionship tournament for soccer. The 4 games will be..........................December 5 and 6!

Yes, this is the weekend before my C-section on Monday. Yes, this is the weekend the in laws are arriving, and yes, this is the weekend of my good friend's baby shower.

What a clusterfuck.

I told Mike bitchily last night that there is no way in hell I am taking the camping trailer out like we have done in the past. I can see it now, drive back from the soccer tournament at 6pm on sunday night, the whole family lays around relaxing and recovering, while I unpack my trailer by myself like always, and then catch up on laundry. No thanks!

Mike agreed.

So, at least we will be at the house.

Of course this is tentative and things could change at the last minute. But honestly, it could be worse. The games could be the weekend following my operation :)

Then there are the kids out of school Friday for 3 weeks. Mike wants to plan a spontaneous local camping trip since we will all havea little time before X is here. J & D? You in? Any ideas?

So, the next month is going to be a gigantic clusterfuck to sum things up. Hey, at least it will help the end of pregnancy fly by! :)

Oh man! I am getting anxiety just reading this. haha! I love how soccer tourney's land on the busiest of weekends. It's just how shit rolls. We'd love to do a camping trip too. Donny can't get off work so it would have to be short but we're always down. Let's chat about it! ;)

Hope that shot ickyness wears off! You are so close woman!! :)

Glad you got your shot and hope you're feeling better now.

As much as we'd LOVE to have you guys @ our place for Christmas, I have to agree w/your Dr. I think driving 2-3 days (one way) is a bit much for all of you but especially you so soon after surgery. Also, the weather that time of year can be very unpredictable. Again, we'd love to have you, but really give it some serious thought.
Would it be easier for you if we stayed in a motel rather than the RV when we come back in Dec? Let me know so I can make arrangements.
Glad you got a good report from you Dr. You look great and soon you'll feel better, too.
Is Mike still having surgery the week after you get home?
We'll talk later. L
