As always, problems

Mike and Jesse intended to finish the roof on Wednesday, which shouldn't have been a problem. However, I was trying to wash dishes, and noticed we had no hot water. Instantly, I am sure it must be my fault. (It always is somehow...) I checked the stove to see if it lit, praying, and it did. So, we are not out of propane. Yay! not my fault! But, regardless, we are still having an issue. I went out to tell the roofer/electrician (Mike) who asked me to check if there was a leak at the heater, and sure enough, water was pouring out and the stucco was soaked.

Hours later, we have a new water heater. Nothing says fun like a random $500.00 expense!

Anyway, while this debocle was occuring, Ron was able to get some interior framing done.

The Hallway - That is Jesse's Door at the end

Brody's Room

Janee's Room from the hallway, looking into the doorway. Straight into her room is the closet.

Brody's room has been altered slightly from what it looked like in the last pictures. Code says that a window in a room with no exterior door needs to be no more than 44" from the floor. So, we had to reframe for a bigger window. (Thanks, neighbor Harry, for bringing that to our attention). Fire safety. I guess that is important. ;/

Anyway, for me, I think that was a fabulous mistake. The exterior looks MUCH better, and MUCH less jail like with a big window in the center.

I would also like to thank Harry again for convincing Mike that we should have a step in the hallway, rather than a ramp. Ramps are for Hospitals.
