I never would have thought Santa would be a topic of discussion. I believed in Santa. Mike says he did to. Now he says it is teaching your children to lie.
I don't think I had a lying issue because my mother told me there was a Santa Clause (although that would have been a fabulous thing to say to her during one of our fights years ago). I think I lied because I was growing up and that's what happened sometimes.
Well, we dont talk about it anymore because we don't agree.
So the other night when Je and B were play fighting and Jesse said to him loudly "Santa isn't real" Mike stepped in first and told him not to piss off Christy. (Which in Mike world, I think, means that we can play Santa to Brody, but one can never be sure)
Jesse's argument is that he is 2 and doesn't know anything anyway. But I was not pleased to say the least. And this is all I am going to say about that situation because I will get all angry again if I spend to much time on it.
What do you people think? Do you have lying issues because your parents told you there was a Santa Clause?

That's ridic. Believing in Santa was fun and I can't imagine Christmas without it. And when I found out the truth, I never got mad at my parents for lying.
You've GOT to be kidding me! Santa is the best part of Christmas for kids. Without getting cheesy and shit, it's what stirs the imagination and brings a whimsical warm gooey feeling during the season. Not to mention it keeps kids WELL behaved during the holidays. Here are the lovely lines I received as a child and I turned out ok:
"I am going to tell Santa you're being a brat".
"Santa's Watching you"
"You better clean those dishes or santa will skip right over our house this year"
See? Those threats can go a LONG way! Mike should know better!
I truly believe that it's essential to remember the "reason for the season", but I still believe in the magic and the spirit of Santa.
