Things here are going shockingly smooth so far. I went down to the county to get a permit and schedule inspection for our electrical work. Thursday, Edison will be here at 7am to shut off our power. The inspector will be here between 11-1 to check it out, and hopefully sign it off. Edison will be back between 4-5 to turn power back on. If the inspector finds fault......uh, we are camping like primatives....and throwing away a shit load of food. Especially because we probably won't be able to rectify the situation until Monday.
Cross your fingers.
Aside from this, everything has been boring...so there is really nothing to update.
Once this boring, but necessary, project is complete, things will start to get more exciting I am sure.
Stagecoach is coming up afterall!

Going Nuts
Seriously. If I don't talk to a girlfriend who is drama free soon, I am not sure I will make it. I used to enjoy a cocktail on the deck at night with husband. But, husband is busy working all day, everyday now. So, I thought why not get in touch with friends I rarely had time for before and crap, now I have the answer. Why not? Because people are nonsense. Preggos with crazy scenarious, wacky ex's, bar drama...Shut up.
Nothing else is really new out here as usual. We have our new power pole in the ground. Now it is a matter of digging a 2 foot deep trench from the pole, all the way to the electrical box and running new wires, followed by the county inspection. I will say though, never in my life have I looked at a power pole and thought, "wow! that is a good looking power pole". Until now. (And I was just calling some of my friends wacky...)
Then we had a slight change of plans with the shed. Being the platform was built with the intent of a playhouse on it, not a house, it is not nearly as strong as it should be. So rather than the painting we were planning on doing last weekend....last weekend was spent pouring more footings to add additional piers.
Typical construction. Plan on one thing, and 4 other things come up instead. <3 just like being at work full time.

The last few days have been nerve racking. Mike got the call that he should start looking for a new job. At least he got notice I suppose. To look on the bright side. There is a prospect of a job, he will find out the details of, today. But, we are pretty sure it won't include a truck, gas card and fast track. Now, I know most jobs don't...but most people also don't spend 3-4 hours a day commuting around.... and then there is the fact that we were banking on not having these expenses when I am out of work...which I found out is over at the end of February.
So, there went the additions, house and baby with a 5 minute phone call.
Mike called his dad to cancel, and his dad said, no problem, he will be here Sunday. So, apparently he wasn't taking no for an answer.
So, that solved that but what about the baby? Mike finally agreed that things will work out, and so the baby was back in the mix.
However, today I actually got a + OPK.....and today is the day he calls to find out the details of the job.....so, now I am on pins and needles.......

Of Course...

I have to first say, holy weather! Mike's dad was supposed to be leaving Mo. today arriving here tomorrow, living with us for a few months in our presidential suite, to help us rip the madness down attached to our house and add on 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Mike was trying to get as much of the shed done as possible so he set a covered awning up on the deck and worked all weekend in the rain. He got all the rafters up.....Please note in the picture, the awning. (The wind blew a "little" - but at least the shed is still standing!)
Secondly, thank you photoshop. We bought the disks of pictures from my girlfriend who did B's pictures. 1 disk was the gallery photos, and the other was the unedited ones. My god was I fat and nasty. Note to self: Makeup never hurt anyone. So, this said, I have been doing fabulously on WW. Pending I get pregnant, which by the way, I already look it, about 7 months at least I'd say...but seriously, if I do get pregnant, I at least want to look it....not just like a fat turd.
So, back to Mike's dad, he called us on Monday that he pinched a nerve and this might delay his trip. His mother emailed me yesterday morning that he was going in today for a physical...so pending bloodwork, we will have a new arrival date.

I have crossed over into freakness
More-so than before....at least. I swore to myself that if we ever started TTC again, I would NOT be that girl who gave a fuck. I would keep the whatever happens, happens, attitude. Well, after Mike stopped going back and forth, and I got my period, that attitude still worked. I was like, perfect! Now I know where I stand, I can stop wasting $$ testing, and follow my cycle and see whats up. Plus, that cycle was about 30 days. Better than the 900 million day cycles I had pre-B. That attitude has since ended........and now my mind is on it 700 hours a day.
Great.......so, admitting is the first step to fixing a problem. But I am officially on board the crazy train.
And I only talk about it here, because Mike would have my head if I EVER made mention of any of this.......
So, here I come OPKs...and hope I don't get false positives :/....see, there I go again.

Inspired to Update
I have been wanting to update this, but I feel like I bore to tears without having a pic or two, and anyone who knows me, knows I have a huge problem updating my camera into my computer.
But I have been inspired. Besides, being I am just at work to fill a seat, there is no reason why I should not use that time to update the blog.
BTW, as I type, my kid is jumping on the couch like it is a trampoline. I am sure I should be bothered and stop him, but I can't bring myself to.....at least he is not taking the speaker a part or tearing up my books (His new favorite pasttimes). He is crazy and needs to be in sports to get rid of energy....Is 18 months to early to sign him up for football?
School is going swimingly. I am the teachers assistant/pet. Whatever. Last night, as I was leaving my teacher (who is trying to be Billy Maize) told me I hit a home run. Thanks.
Anywho, tonight is Jesse birthday extravaganza. Him and a friend are going go cart racing and then having hot dogs and 1 friend is spending the night. I love that he is older and doesnt care about a party, because frankly, I am to tired to want to put one together.
