Well, the power changeover went successfully! It was the strangest feeling when Edison came out at 8am, and cut off all the wires to our house and drove off.
I have had power outages before, but you pretty much get a sense of security in the fact that it will be fixed. But never have I had all source of energy cut off...which out here, also means water. (No power to the well and water pump..)
We were back in business by 3:00pm.
What a long day though.
Today, after Mike is done golfing with the other men, he plans to come home and replace all of our piping for our water to the house, and then we fill the trench.
8 tons of pea gravel was delivered here yesterday and I am sure we will see Jesse cry when he comes home and sees the pile and the shovels.....
So, Ron has been here 6 weeks...and we have a new shed, new power set up and new water piping.
Linda flies in tonight to Ontario, and then both of them leave Wednesday morning for Mike's nieces wedding in New Mexico. Congrats Lauren!
Hopefully Ron will be back end of June, beginning of July to begin work on the addition! We are so close... :)
Yeah, but still.....
